Jeff Mazzola [ resume ]
Jeff Mazzola has been working in the motion picture industry for the past 20 years. Jeff started his career in the Art Department as a Property Master working on such films as “Sleepless In Seattle,” “Donnie Brasco,” “Addicted To Love,” “Mac,” “Radio Days,” “Heartburn” and “New York Stories,” to name a few. During this time he worked closely with such distinguished film directors as Woody Allen, Stanley Tucci, Mike Newell, Paul Auster, Griffin Dunne, Nora Ephron, and Martin Scorsese.
Since 1996, Mazzola has worked as a producer on numerous film projects, such as: “It Had to Be You,” starring Natasha Henstridge & Michael Vartan (Distributed by Lion’s Gate, aired on Lifetime), “Sucker Punch” (Distributed by Artisan Entertainment, aired on Showtime), “Mama Mia,” starring and directed by Tony Danza (HBO), the award winning films, "Men Lie,” (Distributed by Trans-Atlantic) and “The Cottonwood,” (Distributed by New Castle Films).
In 1998 Mazzola founded ZAM Entertainment a full service production company producing motion picture entertainment, as well as several television/cable pilots. Jeff is currently in post production on the feature film “Harold” starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Ally Sheedy, Nikki Blonsky & Spencer Breslin. He is also posting the feature film “Under New Management,” which wrapped principal photography 12-2007. The feature film “Descent” starring Rosario Dawson (“Rent,” “Sin City,”) which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival 2007 has been released theatrically August 2007 by (Citylights Media/Warner Brothers.) “Made In Brooklyn,” starring Michael Rispoli (“Two Family House,” “Invincibale”) Katerine Narducci (“Sopranos”) is in post production. His other most recently released films are “2B Perfectly Honest,” starring Adam Trese, Andrew McCarthy (“Saint Elmo’s Fire”) and John Turturro (“Barton Fink”) (Distributed by New Films International & Monarch Entertainment, airing on STARZ) as well as, “Kiss Me Again” (Premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival 2006) starring Jeremy London (“Party of Five”) Katheryn Winnick (“Trump,” “Hellraiser”) and Darrell Hammond (“Saturday Night Live.”) Jeff also produced the award winning short film (“News For The Church”) directed by Andrew McCarthy. His directorial debut was the short film, "Made in Brooklyn". Most recently he directed the feature film “Made In Brooklyn.” Mazzola also directed the sitcom pilot “Last Laugh,” written by Denis Hamill, starring Ray Garvey (“Hollywood Ending,”) Vinny Pastore (“Sopranos,”) and Tony Darrow (“Small Time Crooks”) with Woody Allen, Colin Quinn and Danny Aielo. The comedy pilot "Dearly Beloved," starring Vincent Curatola and Tony Sirico (“Sopranos”). In 2001 he directed the feature film "Campfire Stories" starring Jamie Lynn Sigler of the (“Sopranos”) and David Johansen AKA Buster Poindexter. (Distributed by Think Films, aired on Showtime). Also in 2002 he directed the comedy pilot “Straight Up” featuring BET comics Joe Recca, Dark “Gable” Most and Ghetto. In 2003 Mazzola directed the “Pips 40th Anniversary Comedy Show”, starring Colin Quinn, Jackie “The Jokeman” Martling and Jeff Norris to name a few.
Mazzola’s commercial directing credits include; PSA’s for the NYPD/FDNY Fun City Bowl featuring “Law & Order” stars Jerry Orbach & Jesse Martin, celebrities John Voight & Dustin Hoffman, as well as “Third Watch” stars Jason Wiles & Amy Carlson.
Jeff is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the Screen Actors Guild.
