Chase started shooting professionally at the age of fourteen, refined his skills by studying art and photography in Rome, and ran his own production company for ten years. His feature film credits include "Excuse Me For Living" featuring Tom Pelphrey, Christopher Lloyd, Robert Vaughn, Wayne Knight, Jerry Stiller and Dick Cavett; the Warner Bros. release "Listen To Your Heart" featuring Cybil Shepherd and Ernie Sabella; "In a Pickle" starring Jackie Mason, and "Cost of a Soul", which was theatrically released nationwide at fifty AMC theaters in April 2011.
Chase's short-form work includes a music video for Grammy Award winners The Roots, and commercial work for NASCAR, D.C. Comics, ESPN, the New York City Ballet, and Getty Images. His work has been screeened at two dozen national and international film festivals including the Cannes Film Festival and the New York International Film Festival. An evangelist for digital cinema technology, Chase's method for using the Red camera as a light meter was featured in the June 2010 issue of American Cinematographer.
